The nearby village centre of Drumnadrochit is an attractive little place offering a range of food and gift shops, restaurants, inns, take-aways and a garage. There is also a bank with Cashpoint machine.

 

Local tourist attractions include The Official Loch Ness Monster Exhibition Centre (well, you couldn't visit this area without at least being aware of the monster's existence, could you?!). In addition, there is the Highland Railway Museum, and, just down the road, the famous Castle Urquhart standing in its dramatic position on a rocky outcrop jutting out into Loch Ness.
